Two weeks ago, I went to Zambales with my mother and her friends. They were on to something exciting.

I’ve never seen my mother so excited about starting something in such a long time. We spent the whole day with the people of Botolan sharing funny stories, finding out about their different dances (they had dances mimicking all kinds of insects and animals), and learning about their hopes and dreams for their community. That day, I watched people dream awake.

    1. I was photographer for an initiative the IWC (Inner Wheel Club of Manila) is spearheading. They’re building a cultural community school house where books and histories can be kept and handed down to younger generations 🙂
