My mom and I visited my sister the other week. It’s a bit strange because we won’t be coming back to Hennessy.

We felt like first time tourists seeing a place for the first time.

I visited her a couple of times in the last three years and it’s been a while since we last lived in Kowloon.

It feels different I miss Hennessy and all its craziness.

My sister lives in the eastern part of the country now, in Sai Kung. It’s a bit more mellow than the island where she used to live.
I like how it’s possible for you to find yourself in a completely different place in a matter of minutes.

There’s charm in the small but uncrowded rows of restaurants, the fish market, and the people engaged in conversations.
But what I really like about Sai Kung is that it’s so close to the water

My sister called me out from afar.

She just got back from a 14 day odyssey. I think this is what 14 day odysseys do to you.

They kayaked around almost all of Hong Kong. She showed me the peak of the mountain they ran to a couple of days back.
Image
I’ve never seen her so proud of what she’s done.

We had a few pizzas and by the looks of it mom’s pretty worried about my sister’s new adventures.
So she brought us the place where she’s training for work.

It involved a short bus ride from the town.

When I saw the place, I understood more why she loved it there

She shared her stories from her 14 day trip
And she’s mighty proud

She tells me that this is her new chosen form of transportation, it runs on fat and muscles and you don’t need to exercise after.

She showed us her new home afterwards.

And little pieces of her old home she has taken with her.

We headed out to the city after. On the way back we saw nature at work in the form of this snake and frog ordeal. I was a bit afraid to come close but it didn’t feel wrong, what were seeing happening before us. It’s nature at work, ending and beginning things.
